Semiconductor companies that are doing cutting edge work, but have not received media attention

Hi, I was thinking if there are some mid-size or startup companies in the semiconductor industry which are doing some great work. Would like to keep a list for future job opportunities as well. Thanks!! #hardware #semiconductor #intel #synopsys #amd #arm #cisco #facebook #amazon #google #lyft

These guys are doing well, selling solutions to companies like mine who need a cheap mcu but don't want a dedicated team internally to own all the nitty gritty stuff.

How are they different compared to Groq and Graphcore (both PCI add-on accelerators)? Is this approach viable compared to the systems approach taken by SambaNova and Cerebras?

This is just a complex design problem and the trick is the chip is highly vectorized so they get away with turning off compute units or memory cells when they have defects. Intel has been doing that since the early 2000s with cache. The company and the idea are kinda cool but I wouldn't call it cutting edge innovation.

It’s a company that brags about how we do “x” not what “x” gives them in terms of results.

Any details on this company? Funding/valuation? I like this company as it is at the cusp of analog and software. But anyone knowledgeable care to give their opinion on it

Yeah but if you don't perform in the first few weeks, you'd be terminated.
