Currently Senior Engineer with .NET stack and MBA with 10YoE. Have interviews lined up for BigData Senior ML engineer at the current company @Florida and Engineering Manager @ midsize growing SF firm. Keeping aside the pay - here are the options I have - 1. ML position @Fortune 100 firm. Lot of new things to learn with BigData stack 2. Engineering Manager for a midsize publicly traded firm for their Search Engineering Team(Ruby stack) good stuff to learn as they have reputed clients like Uber who are using their product Any inputs what is like career in both areas? One vs Other etc
Side question: Do u think ur MBA has helped u any in ur career? I am debating whether tech roles (even tech manager ) really have need for MBA?
Do you want to be a manager or ml engineer?
