Senior PM - Splunk vs NetApp Offers
YoE: 15. Bay Area. Offer from NetApp TC: 250K (Base 195K + RSU 30K pa + Bonus 25K). Like the team and the challenges. Chances of getting in at a level up if I negotiate. Splunk recruiter is asking my comp expectations. Like the growth opportunity at Splunk. What is the typical TC and breakdown for senior PMs at Splunk? Do you think Splunk can extend a better offer? Also in the final rounds of interviews at IBM (Red Hat). Should I wait for IBM offer as well? Received great feedback from all 3 companies. Splunk should absolutely pay more than your Netapp TC.. try to get 300K

I’d not recommend NetApp. Lots of politics and minimal progression if at all. I’m trying to jump ship..
+1.. Netapp will exist for many years, but it’s not relevant any more. So your growth is very limited.
Came across this old thread. Interestingly the fortunes of NetApp and Splunk seems to have reversed since October! NetApp stocks up by 50% Splunk stocks down by 25%
How did this end up for you?
Fortunately joined NetApp. I am making more TC than Splunk offer, thanks to NetApp stock appreciation and Splunk fall. I also feel like I am respected more than I would have at Splunk, based on my interactions with Splunk hiring team and my current team.

What level is IBM? If I were you I wouldn't go to IBM for PMwithout it being a director offer (band D) at min. Just not worth the politics. And honestly still probs not if you're in the bay and have a splunk offer. It's really better for those breaking in to PM to break in.
Senior PM at IBM. They are open to permanent remote. Thanks, IBM is my last backup option.
Sr. PM, assuming red hat does the same leveling and pay bands as IBM (band 8), TC is sub 200k in hcol areas. If they pay according to lcol areas for remote drop that by 10-20% depending on exact location.
