Whole Foods Market is looking for a passionate and innovative Sr. Software Development Manager (L7) to join our newly formed Engineering Services team, reporting directly to Arun Rajan, our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This team will be deployed against some of our most complex and challenging projects and will deliver innovative technical solutions. We have an opportunity to revolutionize on-line shopping and set new standards for accessing the highest quality organic and natural groceries on-online.
As a leader of leaders, you will hire the best engineering talent and bring them together as a team to innovate and deliver. You will define and build secure, reliable, scalable, fast, cost-effective, and easy-to-use products. You will handle all aspects of software development, deployment, and maintenance for wfm.com and the technical strategy and vision development and implementation for wfm.com.

This new leader is passionate about grocery retail and solving tough problems for on-line shoppers. You will hire and lead best in class engineers to build the foundations of a highly scalable conversation platform linking shoppers from different channels like chat, mobile web, and interfaces to intelligent virtual shopper assistants.

As the Sr. Software Development Manager, you will be a key member of tech leadership and will need to drive forward the technology for Digital across Whole Foods Market to create a best in class online grocery shopping experience. This position requires a leader with organizational design and management experiences, technology, and Digital roadmap and strategic development, effective communication and change management skills, extensive application and e-commerce, mobile background, and experience driving process improvement projects.
