Got an offer from Twitter: 215k base 50k joining bonus 606k stocks / 4 years 20% annual bonus TC : 450 k Location is Seattle but since Twitter is full remote location doesn’t matter anyways. YOE : 3.5 Can someone please tell me is this a good offer or is there some wiggle room in any department? Also someone from twitter tell me the target stock refreshers for Senior SWE per year. Also is it realistic to target 20% annual bonus per year? Also can people please comment on work life balance in the Ads org in Twitter? #engineering #software #swe #twitteroffer #twitter #twittersalary
Seems like top of the band
Senior with 3.5 YOE? What leverage did you have for them to give you senior?
Twitter gives Senior with 3 years of experience….
3 YOE without a PhD? That doesn’t seem right. 3 YOE seems to be SWE II territory for Twitter, looking at data points on levels and Blind
Twitter’s level are now competing with LinkedIn. It’s tough to hire right now hence twitter is throwing level+1 and money at people. Compare FB and Twitter levels in levels.fyi. Staff at FB 80% maps to Sr staff at Twitter. Clearly level+1 as compared to other tier 1s.
What are the interviews like? Is Leetcode + system design sufficient or does Twitter ask OS/Networking theory as well? I too would like an up level and a nice TC bump.
Interview is a hit or miss. No leetcode for staff+ roles. Very team specific interviews.
How were the interviews? LC medium?
OP your numbers don’t add up for what we pay at that level. Even with a masters. This is staff compensation. Do you have competing offers?
Staff has 25% bonus. The numbers match to the top offers of senior engineer. Kudos for getting this number on 3 YOE.
Wasn’t referring to bonus % but base instead. Kudos indeed OP. I’m surprised base pay for snr is catching up with market rate
Fuck me, I am relocating and they are cutting my pay, shit I am out as well.
To which location? What is the deduction they are doing?
It actually higher than my 10yoe salary
Depends on which part of Ads. Ads products teams are pretty bad and Seattle Ads product leadership is toxic.
Mind going into more detail? Currently interviewing for a role in Seattle ads product so I'm also curious about the org
Can you please share some details on which teams in specific? Sorry I cant share more than this.
That's crazy high
Solid, but senior role at 3.5 yoe?
