Any tips on the interview prep for a senior product manager (PM) at Paypal? Talking to 2 hiring managers (HM) for 2 different roles next week (Paypal customer onboarding and experience team & Zettle by Paypal team), so any tips would be helpful? I have designed and implemented B2B/financial tech platforms for 4-5 years in Consulting experience (ex: Service Now, Salesforce, SAP Ariba); so have reasonable understanding of key areas (ex: user journeys creation, user personas/segmentation, requirements prioritization, metrics creation, A/B testing/experiments, system design). However, wondering what other areas I can focus on, especially I have not played a PM role tech at all. Any tips or sources I can use to prep? YOE: ~13yrs Current job role: Product Strategy/GTM, scaling GTM operations/processes, strategic programs, etc. TC: ~500k (including stock appreciation) #productmanagement #PM #interviewtips # #tech
Don’t come here. A wise guy on blind once asked me not to come to PayPal, I didn’t listen. I’m on my way out in less than a year. I agree most of it dependent on teams, but it’s a shit show. Most product teams have no idea what they’re doing and there are fucking so many PMs for no good reason other than PM to Dev head count ratio. At a higher level, possibly you’ll be fine, but please do check with the team about scope and work before even thinking about coming here. Most JDs are generic and HM won’t give you much info. You’ll see people with no growth exp handling growth PM roles because they’ve been at PayPal for x amount of years.
Sorry to hear. How’s the culture in general though? Are people even nice? are you L26 or L27?
