I'm coming from a Fortune 500 company possibly to a sr director role at a fintech that is a series-b. Few questions: is pay lower? How do I go about getting or asking about equity? Are these companies more shaky? I'm currently bored at Amex and am entertaining a job with a series-b but don't want to look like an idiot during negotiation. Location is Utah: I'm thinking 175 to 200k before bonus, maybe 30% bonus and some type of equity. How much to ask for? Or is this an unreasonable comp structure for this type of company? Thanks. Post series A you can already demand market rate. So ask for whatever you are making + at least 15% jump for changing job
All depending on what you can bring to the table. Can you help acquire big customers? Can you setup a new revenue stream end-to-end? Can you bring great candidates into the funnel and convince them to join?
