Sde 2 total 5.5yrs exp Offers , thoughts ? Google (team matched GCP) - T4 (Seattle) , 145k base, 480k worth stocks/4 , 40k signon and year end 15% Fb- E5(Seattle) , 180k base, 600k stocks/4, 40k signon Apple(Bay area)- ICT4 , 180k base, 240k/4, 40k signon Msft Azure(Redmond) -L63 , 160k base, 220k/4, 70k/2 years signon. Current ~210k tc. Wanted Google, but they won't budge on salary(bumped up initial stock from 260 - 480k after fb offer). Recruited mentioned they had to get special approval from Vp or something. Fb hearing lot of terrible things about work life balance. MSFT recruiter said this is top of the line and absolute max for 63. Apple seems lowball in terms of stock. Opinions/Suggestions ?
I would say run with the google offer. It's probably in top 1% of T4.
Excuse me, every single T4 offer I know is higher than that
jesus FB
I am sorry, I read it wrong. Definitely go with FB.

So you want top salary with work life balance. Come out of your la la land.
Fb for sure based on comp
Does FB wlb really suck? What about Oculus? Same?
Does fb offer the same pay in different locations? It sounds like bay area offers top out at what you have too
From my research Fb is same location agnostic. Google in Seattle is around ~12-15% less in base compared to bay. Amazon is same as Google in this regards(base is 10% more for bay area)
How did you land ICT4 with only 5.5 years of experience? Great offers btw
Was upfront with recruiters about being evaluated/interested for senior levels. Most of them said they will evaluate for senior and one level below Fb E4/5, Apple 3/4 only Google recruiter outright rejected that <10 years t5 not possible. Probably did system design well , I am guessing .
I interviewed last week at google for T5 with only 6 years of exp. I had to push the recruiter and insist on T5 though.
Microsoft recruiter is telling more or less the truth. It would be very hard to get anything more than what you got. Seems like a solid FB offer. If you don't care about the location, I would take that over all the others after considering the comp and level. Congratulations!
I esp chose the team I wanted to interview with, product is great (top offering in Azure) however offer not very competitve considering market. Seems like leaving cash on the table if I were to go for Msft.
Not just that If you want to be empowered as an engineer, Microsoft isn't the place. It's better to go to companies like FB or Google to take on more responsibility and autonomy
