Current Google: L5 SWE, YOE 7, TC 400k, no path to L6.

Uber offer: 5b SWE, TC ~600k (average), fully remote.

Pros:
- Uber 5b has larger scope, responsibility and growth
- Projects seem interesting
- Big TC increase

Cons:
- Concerned about the fully remote. When everyone else (including manager) is back in office. I feel it's a big disadvantage for people fully remote, it's significantly harder to build relationships and connect with others. May need to fly to office to connect with people every 1-2 months.

- Uber stock not behaving very well, could drop 50% again in the next 2 years.

    Anyone saying stay is sabotaging. Take the promotion and 50% of bump, then boomerang back to Google at L6 in a year if you don’t like it.

      I think other options are:
      1. try to get retention from Google but I feel it's very unlikely they can match for normal L5
      2. Continue interview with other companies
      3. Transfer internally, no TC change but may find a path to L6 in (luckily) 3 years?
