Should I confront to my manager that he is acting weird only for me?

2d 4 Comments

My manager is showing signs of discontent and treating me inferior to others even though I had good impact in the past few months. He’s showing conscious bias and behaving weird with me. I’m concerned if I confront it, it will affect my connect and I’m due for promo.

FYI, There’s a high impact project which started just now and he is known to panic under pressure.

  • Acting weird is very subjective. Behaving weird means nothing. Are they providing you all the resource you need to get your job done? Having relevant meetings and including you in all meetings you need to? If so, focus on work. If so what there's a specific behavior that bothers you, you can address that during your next 1:1. Specific the behavior, talk about how it impacts your work in a negative manner, ask for clarification in case you're missing context and help come up with possible solutions to how you ought to be treated. Most times than not, there's really nothing there.

But seriously, maybe he is expecting more from you and pushing you. Might not be a negative.

Smack em on the butt and see how things progress from there. Maybe he's into you.
