I joined Google last year as L4 SWE with a high initial stock grant ($500k) in Seattle. My projected average TC for the next 3 years is $380k at the current stock price, assuming average performance and no promotion.
Amazon is pinging me to consider L6 SWE role which is a promotion in terms of scope but wonβt do me any financial good as L6 TC maxes out near $400k.
