Should I interview with huawei?
I keep getting contacted by recruiters asking whether I would like to interview with Huawei. Is there any risk, if I join them, to not be able to get a job at other companies, e.g. FAANG?

Honestly working at Huawei looks even worse on your resume if Chinese. At least a westerner will just be perceived as a skeevy mercenary, for a Chinese immigrant or ABC it broadcasts all kinds of weird nationalist stuff.
I wonder if that'll render true in the longer term. As things look, Huawei is well ahead in terms of 5G and those guys who are involved in that area may be traded like rock stars. How does it compare to some JS monkeys at FB making 400+k in 5 years? I'd rather hire such a skeeny mercenary coz those guys would have demonstrated balls rather than playing the easy opportunist game in some comfy data miner.
Are you Chinese? If yes, go ahead. If not, would not recommend. Terrible brand name here.

Not true ^^ friend worked at huawei for 4 years. Went to Microsoft and now at Apple as an EM.
