Received a significantly higher offer from Apple to work in their services org. Not too stoked about the hour commutes from the city and the lack of amenities at Apple(food, gym, etc.), but the work sounds cool. Anybody currently working as a DE with their two cents? Does a couple of years of Apple on the resume still commend respect from other software companies?
You should evaluate based on what you want in life: Learning People around you Other factors that contribute to overall happiness: benefits, amenities Company future (Apple needs to find another source to drive growth)
If it’s more than 20% higher, you should take it. You can always take another job in SF and use your new comp as your benchmark.
How is Flexport? Do you mind sharinrg your reasons to consider the move ?
What’s the Apple offer? Where do you live? Apple offers shuttles from most places. If you live in San Francisco, you’ll spend about 3-4 hours a day commuting (depending on which part you live in).
Unfortunately I don't have a shuttle stop near me, so I would drive
The offer is 160k, 105k rsus, 40k sign on
What team is it on?

For amenities, food no, but the gym is definitely one of the best...
They have a gym in the spaceship?
Yes, you pay less than 10 for your paycheck, but gym and all classes are included. Got friends who takes 2 classes per day, which would cost some insane bucks out there
