My recruiter is now working on the team match phase for me (I passed HC in mid January). I'm not sure the level they're targeting for me. My current contract ends in May, and I've started looking elsewhere. However, if I match at Google, I think it's quite likely that I will accept, so I'm reluctant to keep looking because I don't want to leave a role that I had just started. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Of course, google will lowball you like crazy
Thanks.
Why not have competing offers...?
My general sense is that the timing will not line up. I'm not sure how long Google would take, but let's say it's July. I could be 3 months into a job by then, and I wouldn't want to leave that soon after starting.
Not so you can leave, the idea is to have the other offer when you are negotiating with G. Or do you mean you have already closed on the offer from Google? Oh do you mean your comp negotiation with Google is still 3 months away. Whatever the case, idea is to have a competing offer when you are in negotiation.
YES, you need an antidote to the first comp offer they you =p You need a strong competing offers if you want a great offer.
Thanks.
