I’ve been at Amazon for 1.5 years in an EPM role. Current base salary is $107.5k, total comp of $155k this year with a possible increase to about $165-170k total comp with a promotion (my manager is applying me for promotion Q1 2018). I’m currently an L4, would be promoted to L5. I just got an offer from Apple to be ICT3, base salary $140k, signing bonus $20k, $25k RSUs per year, to make a total comp of $185k in the first year. Also an EPM role. Does the offer from Apple seem reasonable? Would it make sense to leave Amazon?
Are both offers in same city?
Yup, both Bay Area (offices about a 15-20 drive from each other).
I'd take apple over Amazon personally
I’m unclear as to why you are unclear. Enjoy Apple.
I think amazon would have more growth over apple. Also take next hike and then negotiate with apple if you want to go to apple. I personally don't like Apple.
Depends on which company/team you'd rather work for. But the pay looks good - I got a similar (but slightly lower) offer last week elsewhere with similar experience.
Take Apple. At the end of the day what matters is the pay check. Also Apple is a great company too so you are not loosing anything
Take Apple, I would do that.
EPM roles at Apple are nonsense. Product manager at Amazon is way more valuable.
Both are EPM roles in hardware, not product manager.
Take Apple, EPM is a great role, i know a few people who made the exact same move and are very happy
You’ll also get an annual bonus at Apple which you don’t at Amazon
