I stayed st s company for only 3 months. I've only been working for about 2 years. I just didn't fit well with the company and got a huge raise leaving. Am I better off with a 3 month Gap in employment on the resume or is that dishonest.

It would be like 1.5 years as software engineer, @ company a, 3 months as senior software engine @ company b, 3 months and continuing as lead software engineer at company c.

Not sending these out or anything just doing a once yearly linkedin/resume updated. Hopefully won't be looking for a while, but I like keeping social stuff updated for unsolicited offer type stuff.

You aren’t obliged to put it on your resume. I would leave it off. A resume literally means “summary” so as a hiring manager I wouldn’t think it’s dishonest to exclude something like that. Others might have a different view

    • But you need to put it in background verification forms and might need to explain the reason it’s not in the resume. But this early in your career it should be ok to skip in resume

For sure on the background check, I'm not trying to hide this employer or anything like that.

If it was your most recent job then I would include it otherwise you look unemployed. Once you’ve got more experience under your belt then remove it

I wouldn't put it on my resume, but I would definitely mention it when undergoing background check for a future employer.

Your wages are reported, so eventually it will be discovered. You might be able to leave off a resume, but include it on any pre emoloyment documents a prospective employer asks you to complete. And be prepared to explain why. I usually ask early in an interview process if the resume I'm looking at is a complete reflection of work and education history to get this out in the open early.
