Should I quit this job or find a new one while in it?

After working at this company for almost 1.3 years, im starting to question myself if I really took the job out of desparation or actually wanted it. I am in a rotational program where we get to be in 3-4 different teams for 6 months each. On paper this sounds like an amazing program, except I’ve learnt nothing from the program itself, but more on my own time. My first “rotation” can be summed up as: Toxic, two - faced, work environment. Yea, thats exactly what the manager himself was. We had weekly 1 on 1s where he just uses this time to bad mouth about everyone else in the team. He would also not invite certain teammates on our team to events because he is picking on them. Once they leave, he picks another target. So far everyone that I was in the team with had all left, except for one guy that is his “loyal dog”, but in reality he also hates my manager’s guts. The second “rotation” is even bigger of a joke. Not only was the manager right up my neck, he also made sure that none of us is taking too long of a vacation at any point in time. The funnier thing is that within 2 months of me joining, our team had a restructure and he quit immediately. Everyday after that I ended up working remotely since there was always no space in the office. Third rotation started off amazing, but once a “restructure” happened again, our whole team crumbled and the smartest guy in our team left because he really did not like how the department was doing things. (He was also the only person I got to learn anything from) Unfortunately, I am still stuck in this team, with a team lead with no direction or intelligence and micromanages me until my task is done. I am debating if i should quit now without an alternative or I should wait till I’ve 100% found a next job. Thoughts?

Stick it out, it will look great on your resume when you apply to a different company having basically 4 internships

Wait. It is so much easier to find work while you’re employed. It’s like how girls only start to notice you when you have a gf. Almost like a pre-filter for employable candidates

Start applying outside, get a job before you quit. Also, side note a poll maybe better?!

Dude it really depends on you, if u R really pissed off at your job to a point where u R cribbing about it everyday after coming home then I dont think it makes any sense for you to continue working there but if you can take it for few more days then start looking outside & continue there until you find one

LOL. Expected nothing less from TD, looking at their garbage website. OP: don't quit yet. Your current job is a leverage for negotiation (along with competing offers). Never trash talk your current employer in interviews. Use it to get the best offers elsewhere

Make sure you share with the program your experience...and yes I agree with majority of it will be easier to locate an good job while you have a job. Have a bad job while it will suck affords you the opportunity to locate a great job and not take one out of desperation.
