Got an offer from a large (~$5B) non-public company. I'm up for promotion at Splunk.
I like this other company but I doubt the value it adds to my resume and its growth potential (its super niche). I've got 3 YOE as a SWE, 1 YOE w Splunk, previously in FAAMG, and I really think that I should go back to FAAMG next. Should I stay or should I go?
YOE 3
Splunk: YOE 1; TC ~$200K
Other: TC ~$280K

If it’s a non-public company which goes public like $HOOD, then don’t think it’s worth it. If it goes public like $SNOW, you’ll hit a jackpot.
Without company name, you should speculate what the growth of the company is like in the non-public company, what’s the future of the domain they are into.
