I am a US Citizen of Indian Origin. i feel like i might not be getting as many messages from recruiters as i could be becaue they think i am an Indian citizen and need H1B approval.
According to mine I have 3 doctorates and volunteer everyday.
Write that do not need visa assistance as you are citizen
I put it on my resume
Lol! Believe it or not people put it on their Resume to get more job offers.. you seem to yearn the opposite! But yeah, at will decisions.. do as you like!
I wouldn’t
Why not? Some jobs require it.
I’m in tech. I wouldn’t pursue a company that wouldn’t sponsor.
No harm in that as a last comment in your LinkedIn profiles “About” section
If you have Indian names you could try to do that
Your assumption is wrong. Recruiters don't try to guess if you might need visa assistance based on your Indian-sounding name. They ask, if your resume is of interest to them. Your resume probably needs some polishing.
It's safe bet to say "visa sponsorship not required" on your profile.

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
You should put whatever the hell you want on there.
