Signing bonus remote work (tax avoidance)

I’m starting at Google next week and my physical office is California. Since everyone is remote, would I be able to fly to Seattle for the first 1-2 months and have my signing bonus not incur state income tax?

I believe I need to fill out my address within my first week so I’m wondering if it makes sense to fly out this Sunday lol. Seems like an easy 10-15k I can save. The wording on the onboarding email I got was “Update your primary home address in Workday to reflect where you are currently residing for appropriate tax and payroll processing, within your first week”.

I figured this would work because when I started at FB Seattle I was taxed in California for my signing bonus because that’s where I was living at the time (hoping to do the reverse here).
