What are the good Indian restaurants in bay area where I can find simple food without excess(oil, butter, spice) and no frozen naan?
I tried few places and tiffin services recommended by people for service homemade food but food was very spicy and oily and I was getting same taste in all curries.

Too many places (including my SO at times) assume adding four spoons of chilli powder to even sawdust would make it palatable
Also, try Chaat Bhavan or Chaat House and ask for less spicy and pick things like Navratan Korma or Malai Kofta which will be milder of the dishes on the menu
Authentic & simple maharashtrian food is good in swaraj food truck in Milpitas.
Ulavacharu has authentic South Indian food.
Chaat bhavan and staar chat have good chaat items and North Indian food.
