Moving to LA

hi! I recently started a position at SoundCloud’s LA office in Culver City & moving to LA from Brooklyn. Im hoping for some help deciding what to move! I’ll be in the office ~3x a week and it will be relatively flexible when I go in - i.e. if I want to go in at 7am and leave early or come in closer to noon, it won’t matter and I can schedule my days that way and I’ll probably work from home a couple days a week.

My budget is around ~4500.
I’m looking all over, but feel like West Hollywood or Silver Lake have what I’m looking for - a spacious place where I can have room for a guest room + office, close to some greenery, walkable to workouts / coffee spots. I lived in venice last summer but rly don’t want to go back there for some reason!

Parts of Silver Lake seem more city-like & I haven’t been able to find any rentals in the “hill” streets, only closer to Silver Lake Blvd. West Hollywood I have been able to find a few great duplexes and it feels really walkable & central

Does anyone have any thoughts on moving to silver lake coming to LA for the first time? I have a few friends there, but my friends who live in WeHo or the west side always tell me how far it is (I’ve done the drive a ton of times and doesn’t seem too bad but I know traffic isn’t the same rn)
