Lots of talk about intel losing out because 10nm vs 7nm but .. does intel have a more serious quality problem ? https://www.extremetech.com/computing/312181-ex-intel-engineer-claims-skylake-qa-problems-drove-apple-away Basically our buddies at Apple became the number one filer of problems in the architecture. And that went really, really bad. When your customer starts finding almost as much bugs as you found yourself, you’re not leading into the right place.
What are the problems at Intel atm? From my understanding, management is atrocious.
LOL what isn't a problem? Massive brain drain, technical incompetence, the worst management imaginable at all levels, execution problems, toxic political work environments, fucked up incentives for promos and raises, purely reactionary strategy and playing catch-up in all markets, the list goes on.
Francois is a jackass but he is right on this one... Intel is a fucking clown show and it will not get better. The slow moving train wreck started around 2010 and accelerated rapidly in 2015-2016. I watched it go down from ground zero. :/
