How’re the Slack employees feeling about today’s direct listing? Is everyone offloading their shares?
Anyone uses slack? Can it replace email? If yes, will Microsoft or Google buy them?
We use it as IM, haven’t seen it’s email
I haven’t really used email for ~4-5 years now, all important communication has been done on Slack at the last three companies I’ve worked. Email is for stuff like “AWS Support” conversations, contacting vendors, etc. but even a lot of vendors are now just joining our Slack team as external collaborators.
E Fuck Trade? Why is name censored.
That’s really common for freemium products. In fact 16% paying is pretty good
Makes me wonder if they're even doing well.
No way I’m dumping. Slack is equivalent to crack.
That’s what Motorola folks said before the iPhone came out.
Very exciting here in the SF office
Congrats! You all have a kickass product and deserve it.
Seems like a crazy valuation but what do I know. Would encourage slack people to at least take some chips of the table after a massive day one pump but to each his own
I agree! The valuation has way too much hype
Probably need to wait 6 months
Our firm used to have HipChat and Jabber for internal chat, but now it has been replaced by Slack.
Pfffffft Amazon Chime will take off any day now just you all wait
Insider trading if I've ever seen one
Elaborate?
There must be blackout period for them to sell
Not for direct listings
Was gonna say, isn't one of the points if doing a direct listing not having to wait 6 months like with an ipo
