Hey All, I have 2 competing offers from stripe and slack, and wanted to get yall's thoughts on which one would be better to take: Stripe (L2; Software Engineer): Base: 190k Equity: 120k/year (yearly grant) Bonus: 9% Sign-on: $0 Slack (Sr. Software Engineer): Base: 203k Equity: 64k/year (255k/4 years) Bonus: 14% Sign-on: 40k I'm thinking about asking stripe to uplevel and beat the offer. But I've read a lot of recent blind posts with negative reviews on Stripe. That said, the manager at Stripe was pretty excited and seemed like a good guy, so not sure if that applies to the team. Current TC: 160k YOE: ~5 #engineering #software #stripe #slack #salesforce
Location? It seems a high base but low on RSU. Maybe because Slack now is following Salesforce policy.
Both are remote jobs. I live in the south though (don't want to deanon too much)
What’s the policy?
Ask for an uplevel from stripe if not I'd go slack for the WLB, init TC, and level.
If Stripe can beat the offer w/o uplevel, is it worth to go with Stripe?
I think Stripe offer is already higher than Slack
Curious why you applied to just these two. You want to use your experience in fintech?
I had other offers and some on-sites left, but the offers from startups can't match the TC and I was tired of interviewing
How was Stripe interview ? Heard mixed reviews about the work at Stripe. Choose team/work over TC at 5 YOE.
9% and 14%? wtf
I changed both offers proportionetly to stay anon just in case haha
Come on... Bonus is fixed per level you don't get anymore anon but changing it
Location ?
Both are remote
