Hi folks,

I am looking to join Snap Kit team (as L4) and was wondering if any one can share some insights with me on the team (feel free to comment for both general Snap and SnapKit separately if you feel like).

1. WLB
Are engineers encouraged/motivated/expected to work long hours like machines or mgmt prefer/encourage teams to have a good WLB?

2. Team Culture
Are people in general motivated for helping others and empowering peers and junior engineers or is it a rat race? Will both introverts and extroverts personalities thrive there? What's the Mgmt style?

3. Growth Opportunities
What are the growth opportunities within and how easy/difficult are promos? Are projects challenging/exciting and something that Snap is willing to spend money/time/energy for long term?

High variance across all 3 dimensions. 2 is biased towards collaboration. 3 Lots of growth, promos are random.

I don’t know much about Snap kit team, but in general L5 are people with 5 to 10 years of experience, usually is owner of an important system, domain expert. from L5, one could be IC or manager. Compared to Google, Snap L5 maps for Google L5 (been in this level for a few years) or new L6. These are just my personal feelings.
