I have offers for internship from Snap, LinkedIn, startup and in the process with more. I am choosing based on new grad offer and career growth. Does anyone know the standard new grad offer for Snap is? I haven't seen numbers for Snap new grad offers for Bachelor's degree. One post said 120k base 320k vested for 4 years and 20k sign on. A new grad masters student told me that he got 130k base 150k vested for 4 years and no sign on, non-negotiable. I don't see why ANYONE new grad would work at snap if they're interviews are much harder than F/G/many unicorns but their rsu package is standard. Snap intern: $9000 + $1800 (posttax) / month + more perks than any company LinkedIn intern: $45/hr + corporate housing
It is internship. Money should not be the motivation at all.
Advice of the poor
Dude. You are not gonna be rich with the delta from internship. Chose the one you like the most and learn as much as u can
Check levels.fyi For new grad offer
Obviously LinkedIn. You'll enjoy your summer better
I'd go snap
Snap packages are more heavily biased on RSUs. 320k sounds about right for a good new grad offer. Snap also has better refreshers than most companies.
I could try to convince you to join Snap because it pays better than other places... but don't. Your initial comp is almost irrelevant. Go to a place where you can be happy and grow for the first 5 years of your career and after these years you'll be making 3x more than when you started. Then and only then should you optimize for comp.
Hey OP, was wondering if you’d be able to give any advice on how to apply to Snap as a new grad? Most of their postings are for 3+ YOE
320k vested for intern which company? I'll make sure my kids go there. Just don't say theranos
I’ll make sure to pay for school and then go there
