I have an upcoming virtual on-site with Snap for SWE. Breakdown is 3 coding, 1 system design, 1 behavioral. I have ~12 YOE and aiming for L5 role. I checked with the recruiter and the recruiter mentioned level will be based on interview performance but I’m afraid I’m being setup for L4 level. Should I insist on 2 system design or is this the norm at Snap? Current TC: $400-450k depending on the stock price, Bay Area.
How was the phone screening?
This is norm. They won’t set you up for L5 if you ask for L5 and your phone screen went well
my dude, go for L6. They are setting you up for failure because u don't come from a Tier0 company. Go for what you think you deserve!!
