Snap on-site rejection

Had a snap on-site 3 weeks ago and got the rejection last Monday. Thought the interview went great. Got all the questions right and did great on behavior and design. Two of the interviewers even said they can’t wait to work with me in the future. Recruiter reached out 2.5 weeks later with a rejection. Tc 400k

Maybe the position got filled with internal candidate or the project got cancelled

I had similar experience where I had all good interviews. I guess one of the ML breadth interviewer had weird questions and most likely the reason

Sure

This is usually not your fault. My advice is to add the interviewers on LinkedIn and thank them for the time and mentioning referring you if there’s opportunities coming up

Amazon moo 🐮 Nov 25, 2021

No please never add interviewers on LinkedIn

JPMorgan Chase icdeadplp Nov 25, 2021

Why though? Even for the ones who had positive impressions?

50% skills, 50% luck. You missed out on the luck 🤷‍♂️

Amazon SeaRefPLS Nov 25, 2021

Way more luck than 50 IMO

Capital Group Flo!Rida Nov 25, 2021

Yep, just conveying the idea that luck plays a huge part in Tier 1/2 companies.

Same experience two months ago. Also reluctant to give any feedback 😂
