Did well on coding and communication but still got rejected, passed all test cases with good explanation, what’s going on there tc: 340k interview team: Snap Perception at NYC
What do you mean by “communication”?
Same happened with me day before yesterday. Finished the problems and everything in 55mins, the interviewer seemed to be impressed but received a rejection today.
What LC difficulty?
Had this happen at Google, Dropbox and Snap lol
340k with 4.5 YOE? Damn son
Awful phone experience with snap. It seems like they care about the syntax and using the for loop over while loop, way more than the actual logic. The weirdest interview experience ever. Interviewer wouldn’t even bother listening to my logic and be like just write the code code code. Wtf! The worst of all would be that the interviewer was completely oblivious about my choice of language and tech stack. There was no help provided with language API that I was trying to use and it was expected to provide running code. I might have missed one case at the end due to running out of time and rest I solved it all. They asked me two reading and two writing questions in one hour.
How was the LC difficulty? LC medium?
They probably have more candidates than jobs
That happenings for lots of companies right?
There is a lot less hiring and more candidates than a year ago. It's competitive
