After the Snapchat UI update, as it has been a few weeks, how have key metrics around usage been? I found myself no longer watching stories, and I wonder if others have also stopped.
Sincerely, Not Zuck
That one Kardashian stopped using it too so it’s pretty much dead now right? I imagine most of their users were just there for her right?
Why would anyone share confidential figures about the performance of a public company?
This.
Don’t want to get fired, arrested and then deported. So 🤐
I don't like the new UI, but I definitely don't hate it as much as others. It's slowly growing on me. I think everyone knew usage would drop, but didn't expect the public backlash would be as bad as it was. As a business decision, I think cheetah was inevitable but I don't agree with the way it was done. It should have been done at a much slower pace. Instead it was pure chaos for 2 months that ended in an imperfect product and had a huge negative impact on the code health. We should have been doing what we are doing now 6 months ago, and Cheetah now. Take all the necessary time to get it right, then release. Instead it was treated as a feature that can be done in 2 weeks and incrementally enhanced. That being said I think the design will get much better over time, all of the serious bugs will be addressed, and Cheetah will be preferable to Snap classic. Although this is likely 6 months to a year out...
It's also noticably slower, in my experience.
