Base: $140k Bonus: 10% ($14k) RSUs: $104k (over 4 years) TC: $180k YoE: 1.5 Location: Bay Area Thoughts on the offer? Thanks.
FinTech is a great space to be in and you’ll have lots of doors open to go this direction. If you haven’t counter offered yet, you could probably also get more TC!
What's the question?
No question in particular, just made the offer visible for anyone @ Sofi & elsewhere
I would ask for more RSUs. If it’s not too late, get competing offers from companies in fintech space I.e. robinhood, coinbase, etc.
Rsu too low
You can negotiate on the joining bonus, mention that you are leaving behind stock from Cisco and they will try to match the number. Also what’s the $ amount per share that was written in the offer letter?, you should check that just because there are high chances the company is going to go public soon.
Ya, another commenter addressed the difference in $ amount per share; apparently the shares are now trading at a value different from what I was told during negotiation Also, the RSUs weren’t explicitly given a value in the offer letter, I was only given a figure verbally
That’s not correct , what was the $ amount on your offer letter ? SoFi isn’t public yet, but the spac is, which means that the spac value can change when SoFi gets merged completely with that spac. So for now calculate your offer based on the number written in offer letter, and you can assume that number is going to change, don’t just multiply as per the $19 value.
Irrespective, that’s a good offer for 1.5 YOE. Congratulations. Did you accept it ? Or would you continue to give more interviews ?
I plan on accepting this coming week. I’m not far enough along in my other interviews to leverage competing offers and I‘m pretty happy w this package as it stands now, especially given my YoE, as you said. Thanks!
Hey did you accept the offer? Did you end up negotiating more?
Take it. IPOE is gonna blow up
How much would (TC) Staff SWE get in SoFi ( SF Bay Area ) ?
Did you find it?
Didn't sofi just merger with Chamaths spac?
Ya, I'm not big into the market though so I'm not sure what that spells for my RSUs
