I have 4 YoE as a web developer in the Bay Area. Currently, I have bunch of interviews lined up mostly for web-dev positions and I have 1 interview coming up with Salesforce for a Solutions Engineer. Solutions Engineer is quite tempting to me but it is a bit of a career change, i.e. not so much coding anymore. I don’t know if it’s a good/bad idea. Can you share your perspective please? I would especially appreciate it if you’ve made similar transition. Pros/cons? Any thoughts really...
It's actual software engineering if you're into that
I’m confused by your comment. I am a Software Engineer right now.
Software development and engineering are different. Beyond the title inflation engineering does not involve coding
How do you got interview for solutions engineer? Was it a friend or recruiter?
I’ve been parched by a recruiter for another company and a friend for the Solutions Engineer position. Why?
