I have an on site interview for a QA engineer position. What kind of technical questions and coding questions should I expect. I am practicing leetcode for the coding round. I have two years of work experience. What should be the expected answer for "How will you test ABC app?"
Really depends on the team you are interviewing for. Some QA teams ask algorithms, some ask more practical questions that a QA engineer would face, some teams form questions based on the actual problems they faced. For me it was the third one, I totally understood why they asked me those questions after I joined. Good luck
I interviewed a long time ago for a qa role and it was a mix of all three mentioned here. The group didnโt have enough qa folk so they threw in a bunch of developers which did straight up leetcode, some of my prospective teammates asked me common problems around managing test data and detecting regressions, another guy asked to design scaffolding and a harness to test something they wrote.
Highly depends on the team you're applying to. For ex. I was asked all from testing reliability of distributed data storage to bitwise operations in Java. About "how to test an app" question. Just show you can structure your approach (plan) and responsibly clerify requirements (ask questions) before making any assumptions

Ha?๐
