I have an upcoming onsite interview at Two Sigma for an SRE role. Does anyone have any insight into how this may differ from a standard SWE role?
Thanks, got any idea of what kind of questions to expect? Is there any resource/repository that could give me an idea?
This is free book ,it might be useful for your interview
First learn what the acronym means (hint: it doesn’t start with ‘software’)
They are going to ask bunch of undergrad surprise test type questions. It would focus more on your rote learning ability rather than problem solving skills. Just assume that people who interview at two sigma are 20 years out of date by current interview process, so you can easily memorize stuff and crack the interview. Focus on stuff like definition of threads vs processes, what is lock and other os questions, then basic networking questions text book style, basic data structures etc. If you get a younger interviewer, he might add a leetcode style question along with these.
Yes you can read book from google SRE free book
