AWS offered me Solution Architect L5 position with TC250k. My total years of experience is 12 years, is that a decent offer? Currently i am working with small startup with TC 190k and have absolutely no growth opportunities in current organization. This role is in Bay area.
Seems low for Bay Area as L5 SA. I got offer for 175K TC in Texas (not austin) for L5 SA.
Thanks , but recruiter is saying thats the max and no scope at all for increasing those number.
Guess it depends if you want it or not. But by no means is it a "bad" offer. Just seems low for the location is all.
that is near top of band for SA. if you are happy with the number you should take it
Today i accepted the offer. I am happy with numbers. Just little worried because of the L5 level. I thought it would have been better if they would have offered me L6 because i am having 12 years of experience.
I am interviewing for a similar role. Do you mind breaking down the TC? Thanks
I was interviewing for an SA role and from my research that is a fairly decent offer for L5. However, with 12 YOE, why didn't you try for an L6 role? (Sr. SA). Or did you try and get Down leveled?
I tried, but recruiter said they can only offer me l5 only and pointed some gaps in my profile for l6. But for me main concern is salary, which is way better than my currenty job.
