Hey all,

Was reading reviews in glassdoor for SpaceX soft eng. Seems a lot complain about long hours and bad work/life balance.

Is this still true? If so, everyone knows burnt out engineers write crappy code... How does SpaceX manage this? Does this mean there's probably loads of tech debt on their systems? #engineering #software #swe

    It’s not for everyone. If you want a job that is just a paycheck then look elsewhere. If you want to make a difference then please apply.

    At SpaceX, we’re on a mission to Mars. And we won’t get there by doing the bare minimum or being average. We have to be exceptional.

    Yes, the hours are long and the job is hard.

    And since this is Blind , the SpaceX stock is soaring. Tons of investors what a piece. So you will be compensated well. There are lots of SpaceX millionaires.

    I love the lack of bureaucracy and red tape. I don’t see staying here for decades. But I’m enjoying being part of history.
