Since we are definitely in an employer-driven economy at this point (especially from a marketing perspective), I recently decided to pursue senior-level IC roles in the hope that I will land somewhere sooner than later. In fact, I saw two Senior PMM opportunities that may have potential at Splunk. They are: - Senior Product Marketing Manager - Splunk Portfolio - Senior Ptoduct Marketing Manager - Solutions I definitely have the background for both, but since I have worked mostly with smaller companies as of late, I am concerned that I may be overlooked for someone with a lot less experience, but worked at well known companies which could give them a distinct advantage when applying. Because of this, I had some questions and was hoping to talk to someone who worked there as a product marketer or in a related field: 1. How do you set yourself apart as a product marketer if you did work at smaller companies that traditionally didn't respect marketers (resulting in lower revenue) 2. How much visibility / respect do product marketers get at Splunk? 3. What is the typical tenure of a product marketer at Splunk? 4. What are some tips / suggestions to become a highly respected / top performer at Solunk? 5. What is the marketing / product marketing culture at Splunk? 6. What would the salary / TC range be for the person they hire for either if these roles? Thanks in advance! YOE: 10+ TC: Shared in other posts.
