Asking for a friend from overseas who is considering two different Masters programs here in the US, one of which is a full year (thereby allowing him to work in the US for several years) and another 1-semester program that would require he get sponsorship to work in the US. His field is supply chain management. What's the likelihood he could get sponsorship in this field at a FANG company?
My friend is in same position at cummins. He did industrial engineering. No problemo.
Both would require sponsorship. Ops is not a stem degree so he will only get 1 year if opt. However It’s still preferable. I saw many exchange students trying to get job and mostly all failed as they can’t even start working upon graduating. Amazon sponsors for ops roles though to get in he needs to go to one of the target schools or top schools otherwise hard to get an interview. Many ops masters at amazon are part of MBA recruiting from top business schools. They have a separate program for them. (Your friend can google it)
