I have an incoming onsite with Spotify. Is there anyone who can tell me what to expect for the case interview (ideally with examples) and how to prepare? Thanks
Backend engineer
A good part of the case interview is about asking questions. The more quantitative and right questions you ask, the better it is. You would be given a problem to debug, and some sample architecture. Before the interview you need to familiar with the tech, but not the domain. This is a good chance for you to showcase your skills and your understanding of a completely random system and debug it. You are not expected to find what is wrong, and most folks can’t find what is wrong. The interview is primarily aimed at how someone can approach solving a problem that they aren’t familiar with.
Thanks for your answer. Is it just a discussion? Will I have access to the servers, the log files or the code to figure out what's wrong?
