How is this offer for an engineer with 10+ years of experience? Square Seattle for E6 Engineer: 160 base + 10 sign on + 300 RSU over 4 years
Low. These numbers are for non-senior roles.
I'm hoping you mean 300k in RSU and not 300 RSU? Is Square E6 equivalent to FB E5? If it is, try negotiating for 10k extra base, 100-150k more in RSU, and 30-50k signing bonus.
What’s your current comp?
300k makes more sense, first thought you meant 300 shares. Seems okay if you are not paying the CA income tax.
Hi urgently need referral for square can you help please
Square doesn't traditionally pay as much as other companies, but the stock has room to grow still. They also don't do large signing bonuses.
Seems pretty irrational to assume future stock price growth when considering offers.
Seems like an irrational response to me. Part of compensation comparison is also comparing potential growth. I didn't join Snapchat because I assumed their IPO wouldn't be good. I'm not assuming Square will double, but it can easily grow. That is something to consider. Also literally the point of joining a startup is hoping that one day your options will be worth money. There are some assumptions made about if it does succeed.
That is a solid offer for a Seattle engineer with ten years experience
We have a Seattle eng office? What the fuck did I miss?
