what’s the TC for a sr manager role at charles schwab?
Moving to Finance Career category to see if anyone else has input?
Schwab has massive layoffs
why are they still hiring if there’s been so much consolidation?
Schwab’s a good company. A sr manager makes good money, but it’s hard to get into even with experience and tenure. So if you don’t have experience, it’s probably out of the question
I have the experience. I am not at Sephora anymore and am working for a bank that’s also going to be going through massive layoffs in 2020.
Compensation varies so widely throughout the company I think it would be difficult to say. I've been there a long time and cannot recommend it. The culture is really bad. It's all about politics and who you know. people have been there for 20 years and are stuck in their ways and will not change and push out people who challenge them. The compensation is not competitive with the larger market.
Is it worse than working for WF?
I couldn't say for sure, but probably better than WF in would imagine.
Depends on the org. There's going to be a lot of "consolidation" next year with the TD thing
Yes I know. I believe there’s already been internal announcements about that. Do you think the strategy and analytics, and tech teams will be affected? Those are the majority of roles open and being hired for.
Stay away
I am looking out as well! It is almost impossible to get to Sr Eng Mgr 59 from IC 58. Other 59 told me that it is a 10% bump from 58 meh. Then I spoke with HR who is so reluctant to provide any infos. He mentioned 59 will receive an attractive increase and eventually revealed the low end is 5% increase LOL What a joke! Leadership plays time-fishing game and false promises with you about promotion if you are delivering values to them - lots of reorg and those promos are gone with them too. Once the project is done, there are no plan for you.
How much does a senior manager make? No one has provided a range here? Do you get stocks?
Hi - all can anyone please answer a couple of questions. How does a Sr. manager compare to a VP at a bank? What are levels above Sr manager? What comp do I aim at for Dallas? Do Senior Managers get stocks? Thank you - any advise will be highly appreciated.

Why not?
Interest rates dipping, recent merge with TD, lots and lots of internal reorg...
