Default option is 100% cash and you’re allowed to decide how much of your pay is cash vs options.
“Top of personal market.” There aren’t levels or specific salary band. I’ve seen IC positions range from 200-500k. It’s cash, but you can choose to allocate any amount of that to purchase stock options which are granted monthly.
This is BS. Most roles have a stated maximum NFLX would pay for that role. Your experience might have some weightage too. As an example if another FANG pays you 500+, NFLX won’t match just by the personal market argument.
Can you explain how that stock option part works? Can’t i just buy stock myself with the cash?
