How can I build a portfolio that is resistant to a bear market, but will grow steadily? I’m willing to sacrifice growth for stability.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

50% Mega Backdoor Roth IRA —
Fidelity Lazy 3
QQQ
Dividend stocks

5% Crypto/Stablecoin Staking
5% Money Market
25% Real estate crowdfunding
15% SFH investment properties

What do y’all think of this? ~$85K a year invested is the goal

Please no QQQ go brrrrr or safemoon 🚀🚀🚀 comments lmao

I want 6% a return but am afraid of another 2008 in my lifetime. Help a poor boy out!

TC: $260K

That's a lot of real estate. Maybe replace a little bit with commodities?

Also, run it through portfolio visualizer to see how the drawdowns might look like and if you are ok with it.

Why would you think this would be stable?

Please tell me why it won’t and what I should do instead. That’s the whole point of the post.

Assuming you're young and You're mostly looking for a nest egg, most recessions/depressions last less than 10 years. Keep increasing in areas you believe will grow and don't try to time it

Great, yes 27. Not concerned with timing that much, plan to DCA everything. Just would like to avoid 10 years of gains wiped out. I get a lot of it’s unavoidable. But I’m also planning for more than retirement. Possibly fund a larger real estate empire, or FIRE.

All investments go down if interest rates go up a lot. Question is, will Federal Reserve raise rates a lot or a little????

I would hope gradually, they care about their rich friends in the stock market more than inflation.
