http://web.stanford.edu/~gentzkow/research/facebook.pdf So glad I’ve never use the product and turn down the offer I had there years ago. For a long time felt like the only person with this point of view, now the worlds eyes are opening.
Of course. FB and other social networks (blind, linkedin count too) with variable rewards are basically gambling with your emotions. Nothing new, it’s just hard to quit because almost everyone is on it.
I have a hard time completely deleting my accounts and but Ive deactivated mine for the last 2 months and haven't had any urges to check after the first couple months.
Stanford study also shows strong evidence that users who delete the Blind app improve mental health, marital Health, financial health, have better hygiene habits, more frequently do the needful after reverting , speeds up the H1B process, widens network of friends, drinks less, exercises more, amongst other benefits. Strangely it had no impact on their ability to attract members of the opposite sex.
I deleted it yesterday. Now planning to deactivate Instagram. Didn’t have a Twitter or Snapchat account anyway. Deleted all dating apps too, so no more thinking new pickup lines. Blind is the last frontier. LeetCode baby, here I come!!!
Zukerburg wants to know the OP’s location.
