Heard that, Starbucks laid off 300+ employees. What's the impact? Which business or Org got affected more? Any inside news?
Know someone that was impacted. He was on the Merchandising / Product sourcing side. Not sure what other units were impacted.
Starbucks sold some product lines to nestle, this is the fallout from that transaction
That's always a lame excuse for all the companies. But, always a strategic step for the company whoever bought this product line. Hopefully, employees affected due to this got proper exit package.
Actually it has nothing to do with the Nestle partnership. Was across the board cuts across many departments ranging from directors to Admins. Tech was on the heavier side in non prioritized areas
That looks like, it's a cleanup..
Yep. New FY cleanup that was probably past due
They could have cleaned up more. Having been at the company for less than two years it’s amazing how the company got any work done with all the baggage. Some cronies still managed to escape this round of layoffs but overall they did a good job of firing people who were not adding any value.
So that’s why my PSL took so long this morning.
😂 lol
