Hi, My friend has an 8 year career in QA field. She wants to switch field now to data science. Can you recommend how she should go about this change to successfully switch the field? Would online tutorials and courses be enough or should she look for Online MS? Moving places isn't an option so if she's doing MS it has to be online
I feel QA role makes you a slacker and data scientist is something that is demanding and needs more effort .... I doubt after spending 8 years in QA DS would be a good natural move ... Which company is she working for ??
Data science requires such skills as finding data, analyzing it, making conclusions and predicting an outcome. Looks like your friend does not have any of those.
People who have trouble doing a thing now can never do that thing successfully in the future. Thanks for your helpful positivity!
It’s a tough world. There is a lot of information on Google and instead your friend comes to you who comes to Blind to ask a trivial question. What did you expect? A job offer and a relocation package?
