Any quick tips for my first month?

1/ noogler week, what to do during and pay attention to?

2/ bay area, Sunnyvale, cloud buildings. What should I learn and who should I meet?

3/ general PM onboarding tips?

I started in the past at both large and small companies and remember how painful large company ramp up can be. Tips are welcome.

Welcome!! Biggest tip is to “ignore the hype”. The preexisting initiatives and processes aren’t ideal just because they were done by Googlers. Many are flawed and so a fresh perspective is tremendously helpful.

Yes! Don't be afraid to suggest improvements, just be humble and learn why something is the way it is. If there's no good reason, it's a good target for change

Pick a team that is doing something simple. Don't go for large unscoped products right out the gate.

Well you get approached by hiring managers, you can also ask to reach out.. but it ends up being a 2 sided match of course I. I wanted few teams that said no.

Once you get into your team, pay attention to the politics in your org and related teams, is often these invisible dynamics that make or break support for your product.

Google is a great company, you’ll be fine
