There’s a lot of resources out there on how to startup a tech company, but not a lot about starting up a game studio. Is starting up your own studio something anyone here aspires to do?
It seems like a prime time to do it:
- A lot of devs are fed up with low TC/culture shifts at AAA companies, so could be easy to hire
- Epic has created competition with Stream reducing store costs
- Economy is booming, China seems to throw money around pretty easily
Two ex-blizzard groups were fully funded for around 30M in the last couple of years.
Has anyone tried/have any tips or thoughts?

Gaming is my passion and well I do know several in the investment community.
As a random person here, if people did decide to do it, i'd love to be apart of it on the corporate end, maybe even finally pitch my game idea that I've been working on since FFXI was lvl 75cap and all my free time was spent there.... Lol.
