To my fellow entrepreneurs out there, we are an early stage B2B SaaS startup. Incorporated last year, 5-figure revenue, self-funded. We have the opportunity to get an advisor who is the founder of a major company in a neighboring market. How would you structure the deal with this advisor?
I would look for a coach or launch program that is clear and value driven. Don't give an advisor a % of your company. We've had and been advisors, and it's best if it is a transactional relationship. DM for details
I'm an advisor for a YC company that raised at a $10m cap. I have .5% vesting over 2 years monthly with no cliff.
